Malayalam actor Bibin George has been shooting for his upcoming film Gumasthan. The first schedule of filming started in October. It has now come to a halt because of an accident on the sets that has left Bibin George injured. It happened during the shooting of a bike chase sequence in the movie. The scene was being shot in Palakkad (Kerala). Bipin was on a bike. While shooting, another biker lost control of his vehicle and dashed into Bipin’s bike. The biker was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital, while Bibin Geroge escaped with considerably minor injuries. Shooting was called off after the accident took place.
Talking about the film, a handcuff, some bloodied weapons, and a few legal books were displayed on the Gumasthan title poster. The tagline of the film reads, “A brutal criminal beyond the law”. Gumasthan revolves around a murder that demands investigations to bring forth justice. The story emerges from the perspectives of several persons involved in the case as the media looks into it. Gumasthan explores the idea of justice as well as the legal struggle between law enforcement and those who take advantage of legal gaps in the system for personal benefit.
The ensemble cast of the movie, directed by Amal K, also features Kailash, VG Mathews, Unni Lalu, Adil Ibrahim, Anand Roshan, Joy John Anthony, Titus John, Kailash, Maqbool Salman, Shaju Sridhar, Prashant Alexander, IM Vijayan, and Sudheesh Thiruvampadi. Riyaz Ismat wrote the screenplay for Gumasthan, while Stephen Devassi composed the music. Ayub Khan is the editor and Kunjunni S Kumar is the cinematographer. The film is being produced under the banner of Muzaffir Productions.
Bibin George was last seen in Vedikettu, helmed by Vishnu Unnikrishnan. He was also the co-writer of the 2019 spoof comedy drama, Oru Yemandan Premakatha.
