Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year and has been ruling headlines ever since its release. Now, Sunny Deol has reacted to Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, which also stars his brother Bobby Deol. Recently, the Gadar 2 actor was speaking to the news agency PTI when he mentioned that he is “happy” for his brother Bobby after his performance in Animal. However, Sunny praised the film but also admitted that he did not like “certain things” in it.

“I am genuinely happy for Bobby. I have watched ‘Animal,’ and I liked it, it’s a nice film. There are certain things that I did not like, which I don’t like in many films including my own films. But that’s as a person I have the right to like or not like but in totality it is a nice film. The music is very good and it goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby has always been Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby,” Sunny Deol said.

Released on December 1, Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film shows Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father (played by Anil Kapoor). However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father. His unhealthy relationship with his father also impacts his bond with his wife, essayed by Rashmika Mandanna.

Animal has also been accused of glorifying misogyny and toxic masculinity by several social media users. However, despite everything, the film is ruling the box office. It has already crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the Indian box office.
