BigHit Music has confirmed, BTS leader RM will be enlisting for military training with V while Jimin and Jungkook will be enlisting together. The agency issued a statement sharing the update just days after South Korean news outlets shared that RM and V will be enlisting together and a day before Jimin and Jungkook. While BigHit has refrained from sharing details about the members’ listing, they have made a special plea to fans, also known as the ARMY.
In a statement shared on Weverse, the agency said, “We would like to update you on RM, Jimin, and V’s upcoming enlistment into the military. RM, Jimin, and V will fulfill their required time with the military by enlisting in the army. RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jung Kook are scheduled to enlist together. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry.”
“The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” they added.
“We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages that illegally use the artist’s IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP,” the agency said.
“We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, and V until they complete their military service and return. Our company will also strive to provide all the support they need during this time,” the statement concluded.
It was claimed that Jimin and Jungkook’s initial training would take place at the 5th Infantry Division boot camp, where Jin is the assistant trainer. However, BigHit has not commented on that. As per reports, RM and V will enlist on December 11 whereas Jimin and Jungkook enlist on December 12.
