Legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal is looking forward to representing India again.

Yuzvendra Chahal is quite thrilled at the prospect of donning the Indian kit again in the ODIs after a wait of nearly 11 months.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced three squads for the upcoming South Africa tour on Thursday.

While the selection committee has included several talented youngsters in the white-ball teams, Chahal has been recalled for the three-match ODI series. The 33-year-old last time featured in an ODI back in January during a home series against New Zealand.

The leggie then travelled to the West Indies for an ODI series in July but did not get an opportunity to play. He was not part of the Indian units that competed in the Asia Cup and the ICC ODI World Cup earlier this year.

Overwhelmed by the recall, Chahal dropped a four-word post on Instagram.

He shared a photograph of him in the Blue jersey and wrote, “Here we go again.”

Users have been flooding the comment sections.

“Well come back champ,” one fan commented.

Another person thinks Chahal should have been named in the T20I squad for the South Africa tour as well.

“So excited to see Chahal’s name in the ODI squad. Hoped he deserves a place in T20Is,” he said while another reckons it’s the time for the bowler to prove the quote– “When life gives you a second chance, give your best shot.”

After missing out on the ODI World Cup, Chahal was hopeful of featuring in the ongoing home T20I series against Australia but he was ignored for the bilateral assignment.

While staying out of international cricket, Chahal continued to grind in the domestic circuit and is part of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, representing Haryana.

During a group league game against Uttarakhand, Chahal claimed a six-wicket haul, which took his tally of List-A wickets to 200.

With Rohit Sharma not part of the ODI series, KL Rahul has been appointed as the captain. Apart from Chahal, Sanju Samson has also been recalled for the ODIs and the selectors have also shown faith in emerging players like Sai Sudarshan, Rajat Patidar, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan.

The opening match of the three-match series is slated to be played in Johannesburg on December 17.
