Rinku Singh continued his fine form into the second T20I between India vs South Africa. He scored his new career-best score in International T20Is against South Africa where he scored 68 runs in the first innings.
India looked to be under pressure during the start of the first innings when they lost both openers, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill for ducks to put India under pressure. Tilak Varma looked to get going but was dismissed before he was able to put in a decent score on the board.

Rinku Singh along with the skipper Suryakumar Yadav managed to stitch a crucial partnership of 70 runs in 48 balls to put India back on track to post a decent total.

During this knock, he also managed to hit one towards the media box where he shattered the glass in the stadium. The batter looked to struggle initially but managed to take the time required for him to get set and continue his attack against the South African bowlers.

However, Rinku Singh’s onslaught was halted as rains managed to spoil things with showers halting the play with three balls remaining in the final over of the first innings.
Rinku Singh has been in fine form since the T20I series against Australia and his consistency could well and truly put him in the hunt to be part of India’s T20I squad for the 2024 ODI World Cup as well which is held in the West Indies and the United States of America.
India will hope to see Rinku Singh continue his run of good form with the T20 World Cup coming up next year where the Men in Blue will look to get their hands on an ICC trophy which has eluded them for quite some time now.
