South Africa have made three changes to their playing XI with Nandre Burger making his debut.

South Africa has named a few changes in their playing XI ahead of the third T20I against India. Start players Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee have been released from the T20I squad as part of workload management according to reports.

During the toss, the skipper revealed the two players were out of the playing XI as they went back to play some first-class cricket, which means it is likely preparations for the upcoming ODI and Test match legs of India’s tour of South Africa.

South Africa will look to seal the T20I series already having the lead with the win in the second match. The hosts were dominant with the bat which helped them chase down a massive total of 152 in 15 overs which were the revised conditions due to rains interrupting play at the final over of the first innings.

Along with Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen, Tristan Stubbs also misses out on the third T20I with the debut being given to Nandre Burger who is a left-arm fast bowler.

India on the other hand will look to gain redemption as the away side will look to level the series with a win in the third T20I. The Men in Blue were under pressure in the first innings after both openers, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were dismissed for ducks to put India under pressure.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh managed to maintain their run of good form to bring up their half-centuries to help post a good total on the board.

South Africa are a dominant side at home as they will aim to maintain their solid home record in the third T20I which is held at Johannesburg.

Both the sides will also look test the players for their respective sides as they aim to prepare themselves and pick the best squad possible for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024 which is jointly hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America.
