6 New Security Protocols After Parliament Breach

The parliament house on Wednesday (December 13) witnessed a massive security breach after two men jumped from the visitors’ gallery to the Lok Sabha chambers popping up yellow smoke all around.

The sudden turn of events caused huge chaos and panic among the parliamentarians after the intruders began to run towards the speaker’s chair.

Soon after the breach, the parliament complex was closed to visitors and the security protocols were revamped.

Visitors gallery to be covered in glass to prevent people from jumping into the chamber.

Body scanners to be installed (to ensure objects hidden can be detected).

A separate gate could be installed for visitors when re-entry is allowed.

MPs only to enter and exit through the main gate.

Media and staff members will have separate entry points.

Movement of PAs and assistants of MPs is to be restricted.
