Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra was expelled from the Lok Sabha on December 8, 2023, following an Ethics Committee report into the ‘cash for query’ charges against her.

Rahul Gandhi

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a member of Lok Sabha on March 24, 2023. He was disqualified a day after a trial court in Surat found him guilty of criminal defamation and imposed a two-year jail term for the ‘Modi surname’ remark he made before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Mallya, an independent MP from Karnataka, faced expulsion from the Rajya Sabha after the parliamentary panel examined the matter related to his alleged loan default of over Rs 9,400 crore rupees.
