Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav picked up an injury while fielding in the third T20I against South Africa at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Suryakumar twisted his ankle while fielding as India put up a total of 201 runs before restricting South Africa to a paltry 95 runs total in the second innings.
He was carried back to the hut by worried teammates as he watched the men in blue wrap up the South African batting order from the sidelines. Ravindra Jadeja took over the reins as the skipper with Suryakumar off on the bench following the unfortunate twist of his ankle.
Suyakumar was named man of the match and the sires for his consistent knocks in South Africa and addressed the knock during the post-game presentation stating that he was able to walk, which is a positive sign.

Surya led the men in blue from the front as he made an incredible ton in just 55 deliveries. He was helped by opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who added 60 runs to the Indian cause, as the visitors went past the 200-run mark.
Shubman Gill and Jasiwal gave India a fast start as they put up 29 runs in the opening two overs of the game before Gill was sent back to the hut by Keshav Maharaj. The South African spinner, added another to his name as he dismissed Tilak Verma in the very next delivery to make it a twin strike.
However, Suryakumar and Jaiswal steadied the ship with their 112-run stand as the visitors got to the massive score.
Birthday boy Kuldeep Yadav was the star of the night with the ball as he picked up brilliant figures of 5 wickets while leaking just 17 runs in the 2.5 overs he got to bowl before he wrapped up the Protea innings.
Jadeja picked up two wickets in his 3 overs, while Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh scalped a wicket each.
India and South Africa shared the spoils in the three-match series as the affair ended 1-1 after the first T20I was washed out due to rain.
