Jungkook has left the BTS fandom in splits after he reacted to an ARMY member friendzoned him. On Monday, Jungkook hosted the Golden Live on Stage concert which was streamed globally. The singer not only sang his songs but also interacted with the audience. During the show, Jungkook asked a fan to describe their relationship with him. To the Golden Maknae’s surprise, the fan said that they are friends.
Jeon Jungkook gave an unexpected reaction. The singer pretended to be offended by being friendzoned and said that he and the fandom are soulmates. “I like ‘friend,’ but… Okay. This word can encompass many things. That’s right. Love. Love comes to mind first. I love you!” His interaction with the fans on the subject left the fandom in splits. Many were happy to know that Jungkook was feulling their delulu (slang for delusional) energy.

“Jungkook getting offended at army friendzoning him. The delulu is strong,” a fan tweeted. “I threw away my delulu pills after he said that, this is love yeorobun,” joked another. “Genuinely love how Jungkook looked so offended when ARMYs said we’re friends. Countless lives for so many hours, fan songs, tattooed on his hand AND WE SAY WE’RE JUST FRIENDS??? How insulting to Jungkook and his love ,” added another.
Meanwhile, Kim Namjoon and Jungkook’s parents were also present in the crowd. Although fellow BTS members couldn’t make it to the show (half of them are currently completing military enlistments), a few of them extended their support to the youngest BTS member in the comments section of the Weverse live streaming the show. J-Hope was commented, “Lets goooooooo jk” before adding, “Jungkooki live’s form is crazy”. Jimin also added, “Wow, that’s awesome.”
