Keerthy Suresh with her acting prowess has proven herself as one of the bankable actresses across the Indian Cinema. While she has some promising projects in the pipeline, Keerthy is also gearing up to make her way for the OTT WEB series debut. This will be her second Hindi project after her under-production film Theri remake. The film also features Varun Dhawan in the lead. The Mahanti actress is now eyeing Bollywood and is soon going to work with Yash Raj Films.
According to the Pinkvilla report, YRF Entertainment is now producing an edgy revenge thriller series starring Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte in the lead. The project titled Akka will witness these two actresses against each other on the screen. The series is dubbed to be a devilish period thriller.
A close source to the development said that the project is being directed by a debutant writer and director Dharmaraj Shetty. His vision for Akka grabbed Aditya Chopra’s attention and the project was given a green light immediately with a brief from Adi “to make Akka one of the biggest tentpole series that YRF Entertainment will ever make”.
The details have been kept under wraps purposely by the production house to build curiosity around the series.
YRF has already made its official entry in the OTT area with its series The Railway Men Last week. The Netflix series featuring Kay Kay Menon, R Madhavan, Divyenndu Sharma, Juhi Chawla and Babil Khan revolves around the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy which turned out to be a runaway hit. The production house has another streaming production arm with a multi-season gritty crime thriller series, Mandala Murders headlined by Vaani Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh will be next seen in Siren, the upcoming sports drama opposite Jayaram Ravia and Anupama Parameshwaran. She recently wrapped the shooting of her upcoming Tamil projects which are Kannivedi, Revolver Rita and Raghu Thatha.
