Light on the pocket, but not on features, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is your gateway to the Samsung S-Series experience!

.

As a gateway to the Samsung S series experience, the brand-new Samsung S23 FE is an incredible phone. It brings together all the features that make the flagship S23 so compelling in a package that is no less sleek and sophisticated. The flagship Galaxy S23 stood out for the timelessness of its design, and a truly stunning melding of hardware and software features to deliver an unrivalled flagship experience.

The S23 FE gives you much of the same, offering up a stunning display, a powerful processor with a GPU that handles ray-tracing, premium materials, IP 68 Dust and Water Resistance, years of updates, a long-lasting battery, and so much more. More importantly, you’re getting a similar camera experience.

Flagship Performance

Powering this new powerhouse from Samsung is the Exynos 2200, high-speed UFS 3.1 storage, and LPDDR5 RAM. This SoC is built on a cutting edge 4 nm process that maximizes performance by improving power efficiency, and a massive vapour chamber keeps temperatures in check.

Gamers will be particularly excited to hear that the phone’s GPU supports ray-tracing, enabling for a console-quality gaming experience on the S23 FE. Thanks to the cooling system and manufacturing process, the phone should be able to handle extended gaming sessions with ease.

You’re also getting worry-free battery life thanks to a large, 4,500 mAh battery (rated for 22 hrs of continuous video playback) that supports fast and wireless charging. Oh, and charging happens over a high-speed USB-C port.

Flagship Camera

Samsung made sure that the camera experience on the Galaxy S23 FE was just as fun and compelling as it is on the flagship S23. The rear camera array features a 50 MP primary, 8 MP 3x telephoto, and 12 MP ultra-wide while the front is a 10 MP F2.4 unit. All cameras can record beautiful and vivid 4K video, while the primary camera can push this to an incredible 8K24 FPS or mind-boggling 960 FPS slow-motion mode.

All the camera features you’ve come to expect from Samsung’s flagships are present. The superb nightography modes that help you capture rich and vivid detail at night, super-steady video, stunning selfies, crisp and clear portraits, they’re all present, as is a Photo Remaster feature for touching up old photos and a processor that can process images and video in real-time.

Flagship Design and Durability

Samsung has somehow managed to incorporate the timelessness of the S23’s design into the S23 FE, capturing the same aesthetic with a rugged aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 5 shielding that protects and against damage from drops.

The phone looks and feels luxurious, and it comes in pleasing colours including Mint, Graphite, and Purple. The presence of an IP68 rated chassis for dust and water resistance goes without saying of course. As with all Samsung products, the S23 FE makes extensive use of eco-conscious materials in both, the phone’s manufacturing as well as packaging.

Flagship Display

You’ll find Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED 2x display gracing the front of the phone. At 6.4 inches and with a peak luminance of 1,450 nits, this display is so large and bright that you’ll be able to use the phone comfortably in the sun. Colours are crisp and vivid thanks to how well Samsung’s calibrated the display, and you even get support for features like an Eye Comfort Shield for reducing blue light to reduce eye-strain, not to mention HDR10+ support for a truly immersive viewing experience. Vision Booster tech helps match the display with ambient light for a more pleasant viewing experience. The 120 Hz refresh rate and high-resolution of the screen also work to ensure that what you see is crisp and fluid. This also helps in gaming by reducing perceived blur.

Flagship price? No

Flagship display, flagship cameras, flagship performance, flagship design, but affordable pricing? What’s the catch, you might ask? As surprising as it sounds, there is none. The phone really is just as good, if not better, than it appears to be.

The phone is available at in two variants, an 8/128 GB model starting at Rs 49,999, and an 8/256 GB model starting at Rs 54,999. This price is inclusive of Rs 10,000 in benefits. Instant bank cashbacks and no-cost EMI plans are also available. In addition, Samsung offers an Upgrade Bonus to further sweeten the deal.
