The footage begins with a verbal altercation between the woman and several residents who opposed her actions.

In a recent incident in a Noida housing society, a heated argument unfolded between a woman and fellow residents over the contentious issue of feeding street dogs within the community. The viral video capturing the altercation has sparked an online conversation about the practice and has reignited the ongoing debate on the coexistence of humans and stray animals in residential areas.

The video, which quickly gained traction on social media platform X, depicts a woman vehemently defending her right to feed stray dogs within the housing society. The footage begins with a verbal altercation between the woman and several residents who opposed her actions. The woman cites legal support for her activities, insisting that she has the right to feed the dogs.

As the argument escalates, the woman’s frustration becomes evident, and she challenges the residents who question her, declaring, “Who the hell are you to ask me to leave the society? Who the hell are you?” Despite objections from her neighbours, she adamantly asserts her intention to continue feeding the dogs, further escalating tensions.

The turning point in the dispute occurs when a member of the housing society board intervenes, attempting to defuse the conflict by inquiring about the woman’s residence within the community. With the intervention, the woman eventually disengages from the confrontation and leaves the scene.

The video has amassed a significant viewership of 8128 on social media, sparking a divided response in the comments section. Opinions range from those who support the woman’s actions, asserting her compassion for animals, to others who criticize her for inappropriate behaviour towards fellow residents, particularly senior citizens.

A user expressed their disapproval, stating, “Why are these women always so unpleasant, hostile and ill-mannered? Someone who claims to feel compassion for dogs should also have the decency to talk properly with her own elderly neighbours.”

Conversely, another defended the woman, asserting her right to feed stray dogs saying, “The girl is absolutely right.”

“Feeding stray dogs is not prohibited; however, providing food to them in proximity to homes, children’s parks, or areas where people frequently violate guidelines on dog feeding,” said another user.

According to the report by India Today, the Noida Authority has updated its dog policy, in response to such incidents. The revised policy mandates designated feeding zones away from common areas and individual residences. Additionally, the authority has implemented a comprehensive sterilization and rabies vaccination program for stray dogs to ensure the safety and well-being of both animals and residents.
