One of the biggest names to express his discontentment with the return was WWE superstar Seth Rollins who didn’t want much to do with a figure that almost tore a company down.

CM Punk’s return to the WWE has reportedly left the locker room in splits with most stars needing assurances from Triple H. Punk completed a sensational return to the WWE after being constantly associated with the company since his termination from AEW wrestling earlier this year.

However, now that the wrestler is back to his former company, not many of his coworkers are exactly happy to see the wrestler back. One of the biggest names to express his discontentment with the return was WWE superstar Seth Rollins who didn’t want much to do with a figure that almost tore a company down.

It seems like CM Punk responded to such comments on the latest episode of RAW where the wrestler said that he wasn’t in the company to make friends. “I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to make money”, said Punk on the show.

CM Punk left the WWE in 2014 after rumours of some verbal altercations over his contract with WWE Chairman Vincent McMahon. The departure left a sour taste in the mouths of the company, the said wrestler and the fans. After an absence of nearly seven years from live television, Punk made a return to professional wrestling with AEW in 2021.

His stint with the company did not last all that long after he was released by the company due to some disciplinary issues. It was reported that Punk was involved in a backstage fight with a fellow wrestler Jack Perry. This led to an investigation of the situation and a committee, reportedly spearheaded by Bryan Danielson, decided that it would be best to remove the wrestler from the roster.

CM Punk last competed in the four-cornered ring back in 2014 in the Royal Rumble event. He was a part of the 30-man battle royal, winning a spot in the main event of Wrestlemania.

Punk looked like one of the potential winners, especially after emerging as one of the last four wrestlers remaining in that match. The technician made some quick moves delivering a GTS to Roman Reigns before landing a second on to Sheamus. He then moved to the corner but was attacked by Kane. The Big Red Machine held his throat and pulled him out of the ring, eliminating Punk from the match. Kane then slammed him onto the barricade before putting him through the announcer’s table with a chokeslam. That was Punk’s last appearance in an official match for the WWE.

Nothing has been confirmed about the star’s official match in the company yet. It will be exciting to see what storyline the WWE can come up with for their veteran superstar.
