Police have arrested Prabhat Shukla the teacher's lover, 21-year-old Rachita (teacher), and their friend Aryan in the case

A 17-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur was allegedly killed by his tuition teacher and her boyfriend, the police said. The body of the victim, who is reportedly the son of a prominent businessman, was found in his teacher’s storeroom.

According to a NDTV report, the alleged murderers also tried to make it seem like a kidnapping case by leaving a ransom note for the family.

Police have arrested Prabhat Shukla the teacher’s lover, 21-year-old Rachita (teacher), and their friend Aryan in the case. Shukla is suspected to be the prime accused in the case.

As per the CCTV footage assessed by the police, it was seen that the boy was taken to the storeroom by his teacher’s boyfriend and he willingly followed him to the spot. Prabhat told him that his teacher, Rachita, was calling him, which is why he followed him.

In the video, the police found that the boy and Prabhat entered the room together. While Prabhat comes out after about 20 minutes, the boy does not.

Based on a preliminary investigation, the police said that no one else seemed to have entered the room after that. The accused then changed his clothes and went away on the boy’s scooter.

According to police, accused Prabhat along with a friend used the victim’s scooter and with a changed number plate, threw a ransom note of Rs 30,00,000 at the victim’s house. But a preliminary probe revealed that the boy had been murdered before the letter was delivered.
