Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot six years ago on December 12.

India cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma celebrated their sixth marriage anniversary on Monday. The celebrity couple jetted off to London for a trip following the conclusion of the ICC ODI World Cup.

Away from home, Kohli and Anushka marked their special day with a glittery celebration.

A day after the occasion, the pair dropped some glimpses of the party on Instagram.

Kohli shared an adorable picture where Anushka could be seen hugging the cricketer from behind.

Anushka also shared a treasured couple photo from her account, with a caption reading, “Day filled with love and friends and family. Is it too late to post for the gram? 6+ infinity of love with my numero uno.”

Fans have been commenting on the pictures, wishing the power couple a “happy wedding anniversary.”

Badminton icon PV Sindhu reacted to the post with a red heart emoji, while singer Neeti Mohan found it cute.

It seemed one fan was eagerly waiting for the photographs to be dropped as she commented, “Thanks for the post. Can’t take my eyes off you two.”

Some inside photographs from their anniversary celebration have also surfaced across social media.

Anushka also shared pictures of the pair cutting a chocolate cake together, while being surrounded by some of their friends and family members.

Among the attendees were stand-up comedian Abhishek Upmanyu, Anushka’s brother, producer Karnesh Sharma and Bollywood actor Sagarika Ghatge.

Kohli was last seen in action at the ODI World Cup where India finished as the runners-up after losing the final match to Australia.

Despite the heart-breaking defeat, it was a worth-remembering event for Kohli, who finished the campaign as the highest run-scorer, claiming the Player of the Tournament award.

In his 11 appearances in the showpiece tournament, Kohli racked up a total of 765 runs including three centuries and six fifty-plus scores.

He will next take the field for the upcoming Test series against South Africa. The first match of the two-test assignment is scheduled to begin on December 26 in Centurion.
