Yash had played in the tournament's second season.

The actor also noted that while Darshan and Yash’s names were called out Dhruva Sarja’s name was not featured on the list.

The Kannada Chalanachitra Cup (KCC) is making a highly-anticipated return for its fourth season, promising cricket enthusiasts and fans an exciting showcase of talent at Bengaluru’s iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium from December 23 to 25. This three-day T20 cricket extravaganza not only provides a platform for stars to exhibit their cricketing prowess but also garners enthusiastic support from fans.

However, the absence of some prominent faces, including Yash, Darshan, Rakshit Shetty, Rishab Shetty, and Raj Shetty, has been a noticeable aspect of the tournament. These actors have either refrained from participating or visibly supporting the teams.

During a recent media briefing, Sudeep Kiccha, the driving force behind KCC, addressed queries regarding the non-participation of certain stars. Sudeep explained that Rakshit, Rishab, and Raj have not been part of the tournament due to their limited engagement with the sport, especially not at the expected level. As for Yash and Darshan, Sudeep clarified that they have been extended invitations to join the tournament, emphasising that KCC is a collective matter of pride for the industry rather than focusing on individual participation.

Sudeep also shed light on the fact that in previous seasons, when mentioning names like Yash and Darshan, Dhruva Sarja’s name was notably absent. It was revealed that in the last season, Dhruva Sarja served as the non-playing face of a team, and reports suggest that he opted not to participate in the current season.

Differentiating itself from previous editions, the fourth season of KCC introduces six teams, each playing five matches in a round-robin format, resulting in a total of 15 matches. The final, scheduled for December 25, will feature the top two teams with the highest points. Fans can catch the thrilling matches live on Zee Picchar and also stream them on Zee5.
